The Minister's Convention was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

During altar prayer, I stopped praying for just a second to listen to the prayers, cries, groanings, of our Leadership and membership praying for the harvest. And this little sheep felt so at PEACE. My Spirit knows that all is well. I think it must have been what the prayers sounded like at first in the upper room. I hear the sound of abundant rain and a mighty wind coming to Alabama.

Sunday morning in our local church, everyone came in to the service so JOYFUL, they could hardly get everyone settled down to start the preliminaries!

Here are the notes from my WMB Boost: (I had a flip chart)

INTO HIS HARVEST FIELDS…FASTING, PRAYING, WORKING.

A mother and her two daughters were passengers on a ship which was wrecked off the coast of England. The husband and father kept going to the telegraph office until a message came through. Quickly he looked and saw his wife’s name and then his eyes caught the word “saved.” Tears of joy rushed to his eyes. He looked again at the message and found it read “saved alone.” In the midst of sorrow for his two daughters God enabled him to write the song, “It Is Well With My Soul.” In honor of their two lost daughters Mr. and Mrs. Spafford started a missionary work in a distant land, giving all the rest of their days on earth and their money to it. They decided that their report to their Lord in Heaven would not be “saved alone.”

MISSION:
Special duty or errand that a person or group of people is sent out to do.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost:

COM-MISSION: (INTO HIS HARVEST FIELDS)
Entrusting or giving authority to one or a group of persons to act as an agent for, in behalf of, or in place of another.

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

O-MISSION: (something we're more prone to do.)
The act of Omitting: something neglected or left undone; apathy toward or neglect of duty

Eze 13:5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
Psa 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
Jam 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

SUB-MISSION: (PRAYING AND FASTING)
The act of Submitting: to yield oneself to the authority or will of another : FULL surrender

Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. :9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

SUBMISSION THROUGH PRAYING
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2Ch 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Prayer is work. Real prayer costs dearly, but it is worth all it costs. All great soul-winners have been faithful in prayer. Prayer is not just repeating a few names and asking the Lord to save them. It is praying to God with a real desire in your heart that these people soon will accept Christ as Savior. Jesus taught that answers would come to our prayers when we meant them as much as a man who needed food at night and a woman who needed help from a judge (Luke 11:5-10; 18-1-8). Just think of it, in answer to this kind of prayer, the Holy Spirit works in the hearts to those you are seeking to win.

SUBMISSION THROUGH FASTING
Mat 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Prayer is not preparation for the battle - prayer IS the battle. And of all the things we can do to enhance the power and focus of prayer, fasting is the most potent. This is where the power is at. Fasting denies the flesh and enhances our spirit. Fasting changes US. Fasting breakes, crushes, crucifies my SELF WILL. It takes our eyes off the things of this world and instead focuses on God. Fasting and prayer will bring about revival and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Fasting helps Christians to seek God's righteousness, His wisdom, His will, His strength and His Power in a world that is overcome with evil.

Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

TRANS-MISSION: (WORKING)
Act of Transmitting: to send or convey from one person or one place to another : causing to go forward.

Car: a gear system transmitting mechanical power, causing car to go forward,
Radio Waves: the act of transmitting messages over distances as in a radio, cell phone

"Our Book does not teach that we should let sinners alone till they send for us and want to show them how to get saved. It rather teaches us to push ourselves upon them and warn them, and pray for them and give them the salvation message whether they want it or not." -A.J. Tomlinson

We must not quit working and we cannot allow our TRANSMISSION from God to become broken or dis-connected or full of static. (God shouldn't have to say, "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW" through the static of our lives.)

Those who wish to live close to the Lord and have His power cannot do these things.
Others may do worldly things; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may be careless about going to church or Sunday School; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may neglect Bible study; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may neglect their Prayer Life; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may neglect Fasting; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may be careless about their duties; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.
Others may be lazy and not care about lost souls; The Church of God soul-winners cannot.

MISSION- ARY: (Into His Harvest Fields)
Rom 10:14-15 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

(This time I didn't originally write any of this. Part is a chalk talk from an old White Wing children's church insert and then added several snippets of research.)
