Ephesians  1:17-19

WHO – WHAT- WHY -HOW

WHO?

(17)  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

       

(18)  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

WHY?

that ye may know

WHAT?

what is the hope of his calling, and

what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (19)  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,

HOW?

according to the working of his mighty power,

JESUS HEALS A BLIND MAN IN BETHSAIDA:

Mar 8:22-25  

(22)And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.  

Don’t we beg Jesus to intervene on our families behalf?

(23)  And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town;

This blind man was taken by the hand of Jesus and led out of his past life. Salvation had to this man this day.

and when he (Jesus) had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.  

Jesus is the WORD MADE FLESH and he spit in this man’s eyes…this was the literal sanctifying washing of the water of THE WORD. And then with the laying on of the hands of Jesus, the man was healed and asked the man if he saw anything.

(24)  And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

The man could now see but he was nearsighted.  He could see men walking around, but they were blurry.   

(25)  After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: Jesus put his hand on his eyes and made the man look up.  Look up!  Look up!  If you want to know about GoD…LOOK UP! 

        ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN YOU…SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND…KNOCK AND IT SHALL BE OPENED UNTO YOU!

       

and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

THE SECOND TOUCH GAVE HIM CLEAR VISION. Jesus lifted the veil of this man’s physical sight so that HE COULD SEE WHO JESUS WAS IN HIS FULLNESS.

WE HAVE BEEN LED OUT OF SIN…CALLED OUT

WE HAVE FELT THE MASTER’S HAND AND HIS CLEANSING POWER

WE CAN BE NEAR SIGHTED,

BUT GOD WANT ALL OF US TO HAVE THAT 2^ND TOUCH WHERE CAN SEE GOD’S PURPOSE CLEAR.  GOD WANTS TO LIFT THAT THE VEIL AND LET US SEE JESUS CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH IN THEIR FULLNESS.

I can’t totally explain Divine Revelation…It’s one of things you have to experience. I can’t explain UNDERSTANDING…it just happens. 

THE BIBLE EXPLAINS IT BEST….

(18)  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

HELEN KELLER

At 19 months old she was stricken with a sickness that denied her of her hearing and sight.  From the to age 7 she used mimicry to demand that her needs were met, but was NOT ABLE to learn or understand knowledge that her parents wanted to give to her.  She was trapped in a world of deep darkness.  They brought in a young teacher who taught sign language in her hand, but Helen, although she copied the signs, did not understand that they meant anything.  She was not aware that the signs made in the palm of her hand would give her light and understanding. Somehow the mystery of language was revealed to me.  I knew then that W-A-T-E-R meant the wonderful cool something that was flowing over my heand.  That living word awakened my soul gave it light, hope, joy, set it free!

Oh that the whole world could understand the mysterious language of the WORD OF GOD AND THEY HOLY GHOST that reveals to us the living water, the living word that awakens our souls giving US light, hope, joy and set US free!!

PIX TABERNACLE:

The old testament is the school master that brings us to Christ.

Let’s BRIEFLY look at the Old Testament WILDERNESS Tabernacle which is a type and show of Jesus and His Church. 

NUMBERS CHAPTER 4 TELLS OF HOW  GOD COMMANDED THE NATION OF ISRAEL TO TAKE APART THE TABERNACLE TO BE MOVED AND HOW TO PACK IT UP. The job was given to three family branches of the Levites.

Call up a few young men to help in skit:

Aaron and his sons are in charge of wrapping the Ark of the Covenant and all the Holy vessels and utensils. Aaron and his sons (Today we are just going to use Aaron to pack up)  They wrapped the Ark in the veil, then in Badger’s skin (which is a dark violet or indigo in color) and then completely in Blue and then put in the beams to carry.   The rest of the equipment they wrapped in blue, red or purple and then in Badger’s skin to carry.

Inside the Ark was the Two Tablets, Aaron’s Rod that budded and a pot of Manna which symbolizes God’s Divine law, His Divine Authority and God’s Provision.

After this the Kohathites (who couldn’t touch or look at the uncovered items lest they die) came to carry them out of the temple after they were covered up.  

Side thot: We are too love one another and carefully guard each other.  What if Aaron and sons hated the Kohathites and left a portion of the ark uncovered.  It would be murder.  Hatred for your brother is the same as murder in the Bible. God cannot dwell there, interesting isn't it?

Next the Gershonites disassembled the Tabernacle objects.  They were to remove coverings and curtains of the Holy Place with all the hangings and the linen curtains that made the fence.  I believe I read that they had wagons to transport them in.

Next the Merarites disassembled the framework of the tabernacle with boards, bars, posts, pegs and cords that supported the linen fence around the tabernacle.  They transported these in wagons also.

Then the Lord led them, through the Ark of the Covenant, to a new place, then they were to reassemble the Tabernacle in reverse order.

Can’t you imagine If one of the families of Levi had left out a step…forgot a board…slept late and didn’t provide the Holy articles, the Lord could not and would not abide in his TABERNACLE, HIS TEMPLE.

Can’t you imagine the families of Aaron,  Kohath, Girshon and Mirari encouraging and exhorting each other make sure you are clean now and sprinkled with the blood!…be careful now, handle those things carefully, hold fast,  be on the job, don’t waver, don’t drop anything.  Be diligent and the Lord will be pleased!!! 

The entire book of Hebrews---especially CHAPTERS 1-10 DISCUSS IN DETAIL THE SPIRITUAL APPLICATION OF THE WILDERNESS TABERNACLE AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WE THINK IT PAUSES TO TELL US TO GO TO CHURCH. 

Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Heb 10:20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

Heb 10:21  And having an high priest over the house of God;

Heb 10:22  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Heb 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Heb 10:24  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Heb 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

DO YOU GET IT!!!  NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER!!!!!  (THE FRAMEWORK – BONES, THE COVERINGS – THE SKIN, THE COVENANT – SOUL, HEART AND MIND…THE BODY OF CHRIST MUST ASSEMBLE ITSELF!!!)

1Co_6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Eph 2:20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Eph 2:21  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Eph 2:22  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

UNVEIL FLAG

The Church of God is divinely revealed…It is the Ark of His Covenant, where is found a people who keep His Divine Law, is given His Divine Authority,     and are blessed with His Divine Provision…

Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Eph 1:20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Eph 1:22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Eph 1:23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Eph 3:9  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Eph 3:10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God  

Act 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
