My shoe story reminded my mother about another time when the Lord told her to "go down an aisle" at Walmart.
When my kids were young, they wanted a computer. Back then, computers were a minimum $2000 plus for the cheapest one available. One night, when the kids expressed their desire to have one, I told them to pray for God to provide a way for us to get one. (I needed one too, ya know :)
Well within a week or two, my mother was walking through Walmart and heard the still small voice in her head say "go down this aisle."
My mother, who always listens to God in stores :) :) turned into the aisle and saw a small display being set up of computers. On the sale sign was the unheard of price $749 for a HP desktop computer. She immediatly put three in her buggy (drawing a crowd while doing so) and then called us on the phone asking if I and my sister wanted one. Of course we did! All the grandkids prayers had been answered and she whipped out her credit card and brought them home to us.
The next day, she decided to go back and see if any more were left because other people told her they wished they could have gotten one too :). When she arrived at the store, the display of computers was still there, but the sign now read $1,499.00. When she asked if the sale was just for one day, the sales clerk said that the manager had made a mistake and had changed the sign after quite a few computers were sold!!!
The prayers of children and Holy Ghost led grandma's are powerful indeed!!!
God over takes us in the way with His blessings.
