$20.00

I know this is probably an old email story, but I still like it.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.
1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Good illustration. I don't remember reading this one before. But I fear there are a LOT of things I don't remember.

It is Saturday, Oct 27th...SURE WISH YOU COULD COME!!! It starts at noon and will be over around 2:30 or so. Let me know if you can make it. Also, can you e-mail a pic of you and Allana at any age...preferabbly when she was a baby. I understand she is coming and I am trying to gather as many pics as I can. Thanks, and again I hope you can come!!!

I should have realized it would be in OCT. (since it's for Mission's) and not in Nov. Unfortunately, that is the day of our Sunday School picnic/outing. Mike is the SS. Superintendant, so I don't think he's going to let me off the hook. ;) If Alaena, goes, I guess she'll have to be adopted :) I'll see if I can dig up a picture for her anyway.

I understand!

We are going to be having Mother / Daughter talent time during the program and after I read the poem you wrote on the heading of your blog, I thought...WOW, that would be neat to have Sis. Tammy write a poem and read it and Sis. Alana sign it. Oh well, maybe another time. If I'm not mistaken, she is coming with Sis. Alisha and her mother. I'm so glad she's coming..and thanks for digging out a picture of the two of you. Sorry again that you can't join us.
