To keep the Sunday School excitement going after all the Dunking!We had SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS Sunday to kick off April and our Revival with Bro. Werkheiser.
Guess what! It actually RAINED!!! Bro. Mike had asked everyone Wed. night to bring their umbrellas to SS, but they didn't know why. We bought 10 umbrellas from the Dollar Tree and handed them to people who didn't bring one, but only to those who arrived before 9:45...BE ON TIME!...you snooze, you lose. Ha!
We had rain storm sound effects playing over the sound system and when they walked in...well at least by 9:45, we asked everyone to open their umbrellas.

Suddenly we had a Weather Alert over the sound system!!!
But it was ONLY A TEST to get our Attention. GOD WANTS TO SEND US SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS!!!
Our State CPMA leader was visiting, so we had him lead us in "Send Down the Rain Lord" with his guitar.
After Sunday School..We had the same type of Weather Alert, but the announcer's voice said this instead.

After Sunday School, Bro. Mike said that umbrellas (held the regular way) protect us from the "world's storms"....but we need to turn them upside down to CATCH God's Shower's of Blessings!

LaeLae: I don't know the song you recommended. We wanted to sing "There shall be showers of blessings" from the blue book (with a faster beat though) but our song leader didn't know it.
Sis. Smith: We are enjoying the Werkheiser's in revival. Great preaching. I had therapy on my back today and I could barely move tonight during church, but I could listen anyway. :) I'm laying on ice right now, trying to get the swelling down. Ya'll can say a little prayer for me.
Sis. Rebekah: I dunno. Crazy stuff like that just pops in my head and I talk my hubby into going along with it.:) Ha!
WHAT?!?!? Your song leader didn't know "Showers of Blessings"??? How can that be!?
I'll be praying for your back. God can HEAL it. Be sure and put Him FIRST, before anything else. He honors our sacrifices.
