If God Wanted...

If God wanted Christians to BLEND IN...
He would have told the 3 Hebrews to BEND a little.
If God wanted Christians to JUST GET ALONG...
He would have told Daniel to CLOSE the windows.
If God wanted Christians to COMPROMISE...
He would have told John The Baptist to KEEP his mouth shut.

On the local christian radio station this week, a discussion was taking place regarding some new "christian" movie that has come out. The DJ's were careful to warn that there was a PG13 rating and some language, but all that was okay because it was to "get the message" out. They happily said that the movie wasn't too "preachy", and the language (over which the christian producer prayed over using?) was to show sin in its true form. One DJ could only remember hearing 2 "bad words", while the other DJ pulled up a website that said the movie had 10. Many callers called in and said the movie premier was "awesome", while others called in and said they would not even consider going because of the rating and language.

My questions are:

Would you ever invite someone to your church and say: "Our minister preaches great messages! He only uses a couple of bad words , but that's just to tell people about how bad sin is." Would you drink bottled water with ONE drop of sewage in it? Would you give it to your child?

The actual ELEPHANT in the room deals with Ministers of the Gospel in general who are in joyous pursuit of blurring the lines between Christians and the World.

Can shepherds biblically teach their flocks about God's Holiness while rushing themselves to embrace the world's standards of living?

Let us not be "dull of hearing"...only hearing a couple of profanities when there are actually ten. Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Ezekiel’s cry definitely resonates to christianity in general and its ministers today.

Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Don't sell your birthright for a little acceptance from the world.
Heb 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

The devil doesn't need any more ADVOCATES. He has plenty to spare.

The world needs to see God's ministers of FLAMING FIRE instead.
Psa 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

ooooooh, this is REALLY good! It's not good enough to just dress differently from the world--that's no problem for me. But God knows if what's INSIDE the box is conformed to the world, or not. I'm not content to just look holy, but be guilty of "false advertisement." I want to be SOLD OUT, pure and holy in a world of compromise. I also know the Bible promises that all who live holy SHALL suffer persecution. It's just an unexpected eye-opener when you first realize that the persecution seldom comes from outside the Church or the unsaved multitudes. It's the Christians who'd rather "blend in, "just get along" and "compromise" by bending a little, closing the window, and keeping their mouth shut--only they don't keep their mouth shut when it comes to critisizing the folks who do NOT bend or close the windows! :-)
