Looking for Loyalty in all the wrong places?

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Satan is not loyal. He’ll give you pleasures for a season, but when he’s through, he will trip you, trap you, chain you, wound you, and betray you. He will expose you to public shame & ridicule, taunt you for falling, and blame your only source of rescue for “allowing you” to make the wrong choices. He desires to torment you, destroy you, and to make your bed in hell. All this and more he promises to do for being his servant.

2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

However, the Lord will search for you, call for you, pick you up and forgive you. He will rescue you, clean you, cover you, heal your wounds, set you free, give you peace and rest. He will love you, comfort you, guide you. He will stick closer than a brother, set a hedge about you, and protect you. He died for you, conquered death for you, and will raise you up on that final day to live eternally with Him in heaven. All this and more He promises to do if you will choose to be his servant.
