How do you tell the difference between your friend and your enemy?
Your friend will encourage you to pray about it, study the Bible about it, obey God's commands about it. Friends will count your soul & your future as precious as their own, warning you of hazards, pitfalls, dangers & cliffs...encouraging you to keep away from deadly traps so you may be free from sin. Make sure you know who your friends are.
Follow your friends only as they follow Christ. 1Ti 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Your soul's enemy will cry for liberty & freedom, encouraging you to listen only to them. They not only will place your soul in peril but will challenge you to adopt their lusts as your own. They will applaud risk-taking, tearing down walls of protection to encourage you to test the ledges that hang over sure death. Make sure you know who your friends are.
"...Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you"(Mat 5:44)...but don't follow after them or heed their council.
