Evolution

The other employer in our office (not mine) informed his secretary that because she hadn't studied Evolution, she wasn't educated enough to understand anything until she did because "carbon testing" alone effectively proved the Bible wrong on creation. Then he claimed that since the Catholic church had re-written the Bible to suit them (they did in the Roman Catholic Vulgate of course, not KJV)then the Bible was a farce.

I provided her with all the info to handle him, including the below, but he is an arrogant man who is desperately in need of the Saviour.

I told her to send him to me next time he decided to intimidate her....invite me to their party....because I'm not so easily intimidated. :-)

Funny how people reject God, the author of science, only to replace Him with the science He created.

---------------------------------

The Bible was not written as a history book; the Bible is a legal document (testament) detailing the covenants (old and new) between God and man, whom God formed in His image, breathed a living soul, and gifted with free will.

God provided the briefest account of creation, not for historical purposes, but as the dramatic backdrop as to why His laws are necessary.

Without an ultimate lawgiver (or creator) there is no law. Without a law, there is no offence. “(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” Romans 5:13 KJV

If there is no righteous judgment there is no truth. What is truth and where is it to found? “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17 KJV

The Bible is the law book that the righteous eternal judge will righteously judge all of mankind from. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelations 20:12-15 KJV

God, as creator and lawgiver, is not necessarily concerned whether the creature understands his own means of creation or not… “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it,Why hast thou made me thus?” Romans 9:20 KJV…. however God is much more concerned that the creature understands the eternal laws which he is governed by…and expects the creature to accept both by faith.

Even if we do not understand or believe in the law of gravity, it doesn't mean that gravity does not exist. For every law, there must be a lawgiver. Evidently God gives a measure of faith of the law of gravity to even the youngest child who is afraid and hesitant of flinging himself from heights into the parent's arms until he has made sure of his safe landing. The child goes from faith to faith...faith in the law of gravity to faith in his parent’s ability to catch him.

"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:17 KJV:

Just because we don't understand or believe in God Word (law) doesn't mean that it does not exist.

"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Romans 12:3 KJV

This measure of Faith is written even into the most primitive of hearts with the creature instinctively understanding the error of breaking God's (the creator’s) laws (i.e. thou shalt not kill).

“For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” Romans 2:11-16 KJV

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.” Romans 1:18,19 KJV

God’s intricately designed and ordered creation speaks for itself, and God even allows the created to learn of and from His creation. (i.e.- DNA, which is invisible to the naked eye, etc.)

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,” Romans 1:20-22 KJV

The theory of Evolution is simply a hypothesis created by men who have become vain in their imaginations, simply because they do not wish to be held accountable to a higher authority than themselves. “Professing themselves to be wise” foolishly they delete God from the equation so that judgment and accountability would not exist either. However God’s word reveals that man is without excuse for “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1

In the absence of a higher authority, there would be no law, no justice, no truth. Man is not inherently good, he is inherently evil. Morality, along with all order and matter, decays. In the absence of God’s law, truth and morality would be relative and righteous judgment non-existent.

Because one doesn’t believe in God's Word (law) doesn’t mean it does not exist. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7-8 KJV)

If man is not created by and in the image of God, then a man’s life is no more valuable than the brute beast or the swatted fly. It is not a crime to swat the fly and one will not be convicted of murder. However God's law holds mankind accountable for murdering the creation endowed with a living soul. "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." Genesis 9:6 KJV:

How do we know truth? "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 KJV

The theory of Evolution is a miserable hypothesis to stake ones soul upon, for without the creator God's law there is no hope and without hope, we are among men most miserable.

But there is hope….

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:16-21 KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9 KJV)

It always AMAZES me that otherwise intelligent, sane people could believe an EXPLOSION--big bang--could cause anything to come TOGETHER. Where is there EVER another example of that happening? Big bangs destroy things, not create them. From the very get-go their thinking is demented. It takes a LOT more faith to believe in a big bang than it does to believe a Creator lovingly created this universe and every intricate detail in it. And how hypocritical to declare that since the secretary hasn't studied evolution (any person who ever went to public school has studied evolution, like it or not)yet the boss has probably not really studied creationism. *singing* "People need the Lord, People need the Lord!
Every day they pass me by;
I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care
Headed who knows where
On they go through private pain
Living fear to fear
Laughter hides their silent cries
Only Jesus hears
People need the Lord!

That's what I told her. The man doesn't need a debate on Evolution. He is a man in need of the Saviour.
