Jesus Colors My World
Tho' at times this world seems dreary,
And life's colors pale to gray.
HIS Name softly spoken,
Brings sunlight to my day.
The palette of the spectrum
Throughout my soul unfurls
The hues of a glorious Rainbow;
Jesus colors my world.

Think of some things you hope for your life; whatever you think would cause you to have the best life.
1. Happiness?
2. Good Health?
3. Spiritual Maturity
4. Financial prosperity?
Now…..Pray those things upon the person who has wronged you.
Let that sink in for a moment.
Pray those things upon the person who has wronged you?
How about the person you don’t like or doesn’t like you?
How about the person you might consider your enemy?
Now if we can do this, we will be on the road to discovering what LOVE truly is. For some unknown reason, Christians have to be reminded constantly to L-O-V-E.
We claim that we wish Jesus would walk through our doors right now. But we don’t really mean it. Why? Because every woman knows that bright light shows her every imperfection. That’s why we love candelight. We all LOOK better in dim light.
If we, The Body and Bride of Christ are not CLOTHED IN LOVE…then we’re just plain naked in God’s eyes. We’ve dimmed our lights, hoping God won’t notice our nakedness.
See…sometimes we boldly bring our pretty little gift boxes of praise to the altar of the Lord and say, “Here God, here am I!”, expecting some cosmic pat on the back.
Then to our dismay, we see God look at our hands and look at our pretty little Gift Box of Praise and say,
“I can’t accept this”.
But WHY Lord? I’ve done all you asked. I’ve attended church, I’ve given to missions, I’ve sung in the choir, I’ve even paid my CPMA dollars! :)
The Lord says: “Because that gift is not for me; there are strings attached.”
Mt 5:23-24 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
But for some reason, Christians don’t think this is really such a big issue. Sometimes, we would rather be: RIGHT THAN RIGHTEOUS.
Let’s see what the word says about it.
1Jo 4:7,8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
See on Judgement Day, God won’t ask us how much money we’ve made, what kind of house we’ve bought or what kind of car we drove.
God may only ask us two questions.
1. Did you love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind?
2. Did you love thy neighbour as thyself?
If our answer is NO to either one of those questions, there may not be any need for further judgement because according to Mt 22:40 “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
If we don’t get this love thing right… then shut the doors, turn off the lights, take the sign down because everything we do is completely useless to God
1Jo 4:20, 21 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
If we cannot love our Brothers, then we cannot love the lost. And God is not fooled for one moment, He knows that we really don’t love Him either.
God doesn’t really need our talents or our money to accomplish the work. He can do that with us or without us. God definitely doesn’t need our opinions. His opinions are the only ones that matter.
God does need, desire and commands The Church of God to fall on our faces at an altar of prayer and not get up until we are consumed with love for each other AND the lost and dying. We are to be the living, breathing embodiment of true Godly love. WE MUST BE CLOTHED in pure and spotless garments of LOVE.
